We’ve just learned this week that we’ve been approved to begin our second market! In just a short week and a half, we will be bringing an outdoor “pop-up” style market to Tanglewood Park on Seminole Road in the heart of Norton Shores!

I will have our certified organic dry beans at Saturday’s market–grown last summer on our farm south of Grand Haven. The special this week is our Jacobs Cattle Gold Beans. This week’s special price for a 2-lb. bag is $10.00 (regularly $11.50) and for a 1-lb. bag is $5.50 (regularly $6.00). I will also have a limited amount of Grassfields Farm aged raw milk cheese. Earthscape Farm of Hesperia
The cattle herd is loving being on lush green pastures. We are so happy the rains have been good this year so far! We have had about 20 calves born, and all are looking happy and healthy.

Wednesday night’s rain gave the garden a boost so we expect to have head lettuce, golden beet greens, and this will probably be the last week for spinach and heirloom radishes. Our tomato and pepper plants will be on sale this week for $2.00 a pot instead of $2.50 so get them while they last! We will have our freezer stocked with bulk sweet Italian sausage, bulk breakfast sausage, and kielbasa links all of which are new this week. Well, well, well, look who’s raising it’s tasty self after quite a hiatus. Auntie P’s Chocolate Cherry has decided to grace our case for our last market before our summer break. Is it sandwich bread or dessert? Confused as this loaf may be, we know one thing, it is extremely tasty toasted with a little peanut butter or vanilla ice cream. Guess it’s up to you to decide.
