New Vendor!
Cultured Love of Grand Rapids
Cultured Love is “making good food possible”, producing probiotic-laden, nutritious foods that are not only beneficial for you, but also add amazing flavor, texture, and beauty to any meal. Our current lineup of specialty kraut products — traditional sauerkraut with caraway, dill kraut, and spicy kraut — are naturally fermented and nutritious, hand-crafted in Grand Rapids. We started producing and selling our products out of the Downtown Market Incubator Kitchen in GR in September 2014.
Cultured Love is driven by a desire to spread the idea that “food is medicine”, that what we eat has a significant impact on our overall well-being, our psychology, our digestion, our ability to fight disease. This mission has grown out of years of experience dealing with chronic disease in our family, seeking alternatives to standard American diets that are increasingly devoid of nutrition, and over-reliance on standard western healthcare which often provides medical responses to health and disease that don’t always address the root cause.

Aged Cheddar – You asked, and we listened! A sharp cheddar, aged a year. Award-winning!

Country Dill – A house favorite, the dill herb in Gouda well represents the fresh grass that dominates the cows’ diet.
Crofters – This delicious cheese is aged 1 year with a medium sharp taste. The texture is dry and crumbly. Very similar to Parmesan.
Edam – A variety of Gouda made with skim milk: Elastic, yet firm, this flawless low fat cheese is our best melter, improving any dish.
Garlic & Onion – The most aromatic of herbs. Don’t be the only one in the room to eat this spiced Gouda or you soon will be.

Lamont Cheddar – A rare, natural rind English cheese, named for the Grand River’s first settlement near our farm.
Leyden – Originally from the Rhine Valley, now the Grand River Valley; cumin perfectly compliments this aged Dutch cheese.

It’s coffee time! We are now serving freshly brewed pour-over coffee!
Fill a ceramic mug to enjoy as you shop, or get a to-go cup to keep you going through the morning.
A mug-full is $1 and the to-go cup is $3. This week we are planning to have a brand new coffee from Costa Rica! It is sweet and low acid.
In the roaster this week:
Bolivia Fair Trade Organic – a sweet rich cup with chocolate notes and a bright acidity. Very good with dessert.
Ethiopia Sidama Fair Trade Organic – a complex cup with berry notes and a sweet finish. This is one of our favorites!
Decaffinated Peru Fair Trade Organic – rich and sweet, with chocolate and caramel notes. A very delicious decaf! This coffee was decaffeinated using the Mountain Water Process. It is a natural, chemical free process which allows the bean to retain much of its unique flavor.
Sumatra Fair Trade Organic – Bold, earthy, with a molasses sweetness and a light acidity. This is a limited supply and is only available by the ounce.
Come taste the fresh difference! Brewed samples will be available for all coffees!
We try not to roast too much extra in order to keep the coffee fresh every week. Advance orders will ensure that we don’t run out of your favorite coffee before you get some!
