Blackbird Farms of Coopersville
We here at Blackbird Farms are looking forward to returning to Sweetwater this Saturday!
In devising a vegetable pre-order system that aligns with the scale of our operation, we have decided to offer again something very much like our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) shares. We will assemble bags of our highest quality veggies based on whatever is fresh and in-season for that week. In the bag, we will aim to have some combination and quantity of at least six different vegetables with a combined value around $20. Each bag will cost $15. There will be a limited number of bags each week.
Interested in trying this out? This week’s bag likely will contain some combination of a selection of the following: kale, head lettuce, Asian greens, mini-cabbage, scallions, kohlrabi, fresh garlic, and zucchini/summer squash. Again, each bag will cost $15.
To order your Blackbird Farms Veggie Bag, please email us at hello.blackbirdfarms@gmail.com
We also plan to have some items for walk-up sales—watch for more information in Friday’s newsletter.
Thanks so much! We are looking forward to reconnecting with everyone this Saturday!

INSTRUCTIONS FOR How to Pre-Order (for both Drive Through & Park & Walk-in)
1. Look over the list. Each vendor has a unique deadline for when they need to receive your pre-order depending on their product. Send your pre-order by email to each vendor you want to order from, within their required deadlines.
2. Vendors will respond back by no later than Friday before market day with an order confirmation and an invoice that in most cases will allow you to pre-pay for your order. If a vendor is not set up to take payment online they will accept checks (preferred) or cash in a sealed envelope on market day pickup.
3. Market Day for Park & Walk-in. Please see the map for where you will need to park and enter the market space. You may pick up your pre-orders from each vendor & purchase from additional vendors who have extra products.
4. Market Day For Drive Through Pre-Orders: Please see the market map with arrows indicating which way you should plan to approach the market. You are basically going to circle the perimeter of the vendor area, stopping behind the vehicles of each vendor you have placed an order with. 5. (Drive Through) Using a sheet of paper at least 8.5 x 11, please list all of the vendors you have orders with in black marker (or something as visible), large enough for vendors to see it clearly. Please put your first & last name at the top of the list. Tape or hold up the list to the side window or front windshield where it will be most visible.
6. Have your trunk, or designated area of your car ready to receive your goods. A cooler is suggested for refrigerated & frozen items.
7. As you are driving through, each vendor will bring your order to your vehicle and place it in the trunk or other designated space, and collect payment if you have not paid in advance.
STAY IN TOUCH!
If you have not already done so you may want to sign up for the newsletter
