The Pasturage LLC of Montague
Got cast iron? Then you need lard! Lard, either from the fat back or from the leaf fat, is the absolute best way to take care of your cast iron cookware. It conditions it beautifully to create a naturally non-stick surface. Flip eggs with ease; no more prying protein off the griddle. My Mom has little sample cups available along with a recipe to tell you how to render it easily.  That way, you can smell the lack of odor for yourself!
Stay tuned: we are sending 4 pigs and 12 lambs to slaughter this week. Which means you can expect lots of cuts to be back in stock by the November 20 market. Or, if you want to order a whole/half lamb or have a specific cut in mind for the holidays, let me know… ah… by today (Monday). Thank you!
