Blackbird Farm of Coopersville
The sun is shining, the soil is dry, and the air is warm, which means it’s high time to get your garden in. To help you get the season started off on the right foot, at this Saturday’s market we will have for sale all manner of herb and vegetable starts, including our full line of heirloom and cherry tomatoes!
Not sure how to get started? On May 23 Farmer Greg will be teaching a free (with donations appreciated) introductory organic gardening class at Blackbird Farms (5213 Roosevelt, Coopersville, 49404), from 6 to 8 p.m. The class will cover all the basic information you will need to set the foundation for a successful growing season this year: seeding and transplanting, fertilizing and watering, weeding and pest control, and harvesting. Though the class is free, for planning purposes we ask that you e-mail us at hello.blackbirdfarms@gmail.com to let us know if you’ll be attending.
We’re also hosting a spring market day this Saturday afternoon, May 20, 1:00-4:00 p.m., where we’ll have our plants available for sale, along with food and artisan items from some farmer and artist friends of ours. We’ll also be hosting a perennial exchange that afternoon. All are welcome!
Finally, if you’re still looking to join a CSA for this season, we have a few spots left and would love to welcome you as a member. More information is available here: blackbirdfarms.net/community-
Preorders accepted. Please send order via email libertyff@gmail.com by Friday evening and we will send an invoice on Friday evening through email. Feel free to pay with cash on Saturday. Please email if you do not get a confirmation within 24 hours.

Pine Row Farm of Rothbury
Hello :-),
Spring calves continue to arrive, strong and healthy! It’s fun to watch them play and learn their personalities. The whippoorwill has started to sing, and by Thursday the king blooms were open on the apple trees! Pastures are growing nicely and rotational grazing started, too. The main herd has crossed the road for a initial round there.
By the way:
Our freezers are full,
So yours must be empty.
Please pick a sale below,

We will accept orders until 5pm on Friday. If you miss the deadline or prefer to shop in person, I do bring a selection of what’s available every Saturday. I will plan to get totals emailed out by 9:30pm on Friday. If you don’t get a response from me, please contact me. We accept cash or check payable to Pine Row Farm.
