Friday Update!
There’s still time to get those preorders in and as always, thanks to those of you who place them! There will also be lots of produce, meats & baked goods available for walk up sales, check out the lists below and we’ll see you at the market Saturday!
Note: We are always on the lookout for organically grown fruit. Our long time customer Robert sent info about a farm in Fennville, Pleasant Hill Farm, the first organic blueberry farm in Michigan. Now their adult children are using a couple acres to grow organic strawberries and you can pick your own or buy them at their stand. Their business is called Born & Raised Organic. Contact info for strawberries is near the bottom of this newsletter.

The Pasturage of Montague
We need a good soaker. If you have a secret jig to break open the skies, please dance now! After a grueling week of making hay and fixing equipment, we are ready for a rain recharge. The sheep weathered the heat in the hedgerow, and we wear hats and drink lots of water, but our poor red clover has nowhere to go. The grasses don’t show drought stress as noticeably as the wilting clover. It’s not dire, so far, and we have plans in place in case it does get drastic, but we sure would appreciate 1″ of rain over 10 hours every Wednesday night. See what you can do, would’ya?
