Eggs. Our laying hens, having outside access, often brave the wintery wonderland. Though, we find that many of them elect to stay inside watching Chicken Run reruns while snacking on local certified organic feed, organic apples and second cutting alfalfa hay.
Whole frozen chicken, 6-8 lbs. Range free, local certified organic feed. These birds, unlike our laying hens, are not so concerned with the frigid temperatures we are experiencing these days.

Special this week: Short Ribs $3 a lb, normally $3.50 per lb. I like to cook up a large crock pot of them, remove bones and fat, and then use the beef for Stroganoff, Asian beef with rice, etc.
Grilling Steaks ~ Tenderloin, New York Strip, Ribeye, Porterhouse, T-bone, Sirloin, Cubed Steak, Skirt Steak, Kabob Beef
Cubed Steak -We eat it about once a week – pan-fried in a little butter and EVOO, about 2-3 minutes per side. It’s a quick supper!
