Scholl Farm has a limited amount of first crop of rhubarb! If Stu hasn’t already eaten this first harvest, supplies will still be limited, so come early if you want some.
Stop by Saturday for Shady Side Farm of Holland! This may well be their last visit until next fall as they are about to get very busy with their main markets at Fulton St & South Haven. You can always stop by their farm when their farm store is open, but this week Lona is bringing their goodness to us, so don’t miss the opportunity to stock up!

This is the story of 56 fifth graders from P.S. 15, in Red Hook, Brooklyn- living on the front line of the climate crisis- whose actions on plastic pollution morph into extraordinary leadership.
Saturday April 29th Earth Day Lakeshore Celebration. March at 12:30, Earth Fair 1-4pm at Grand Haven Central Park Place. Lots of activities for kids!
Sunday April 30th, 2pm Spring Plant Walk at Muskegon Lake Nature Preserve. Cody Westendorf, Herbalist & owner of Forest Finds will lead the walk. Learn to identify edible and medicinal plants. $30. Register soon, this class will fill up fast! Details 616-834-3233.

Fridays have been eventful here on the farm. The first calf arrived on Friday. She’s doing great. I’m looking forward to watching the spring calves playing together.
We will accept orders until 5pm on Friday. If you miss the deadline or prefer to shop in person, I do bring a selection of what’s available every Saturday. Do you know anyone who says Jersey is the best beef? We have one 100% grass fed Jersey steer that’s ready. He was born and raised on the farm without any medications or vaccines.
Pork
We have one whole pork available. It is Idaho Pasture breed, born and raised on the farm, and never had any vaccines or medications. We raise our pigs on pasture, hay, and a small daily portion of certified organic grain.
Poultry
All of our poultry are free range, locked in nightly, and have certified organic feed.

If we need to cancel a market due to severe weather I will send out a separate email no later than Friday evening before a market notifying you that we will be closed. INSTRUCTIONS FOR How to Pre-Order
1. Look over the list. Each vendor has a unique deadline for when they need to receive your pre-order depending on their product. Send your pre-order by email to each vendor you want to order from, within their required deadlines.
2. Vendors will respond back by no later than Friday before market day with an order confirmation and an invoice that in most cases will allow you to pre-pay for your order. If a vendor is not set up to take payment online they will accept checks (preferred) or cash on market day pickup.
