Funny Farm of Grant
Things are picking up in the garden and some things are slowing down.
Squash is about done, I’ll bring yellow and green summer squash,
everything else is done. Please let me know if you want some for sure.
Lettuce is done also. But we’re closer to tomatoes, probably a few next
week, then omg. There are new varieties of potatoes this week, red
skinned and blue called Blackberry. Super dark, beautiful color.
Speaking of blackberries, I’ll have a few pints of them this week and
more next week. Beetle patrol is in force. The first cucumbers were
spotted, I’ll bring what there is ready. For everything else, I’ll bring
kale, curly and dino, Swiss chard, kohlrabis, carrots, Chinese cabbage and round cabbage, herbs, sweet basil and globe basil for drying or fresh, parsley. If you’d like some beets, please send a text. I need to know if they’re wanted. Please text me at 734 945 0720 by 6 pm and I’ll have it for you Saturday morning. The Pasturage of Montague
Guess what?  We have turkeys on the farm now.  They will be ready for Thanksgiving.  We are enjoying their quirky habits.  We also have feeder pigs.  It is the beginning step in our quest to find the right pig breed for us.  And we are officially in high summer as the cicadas lull us into a stupor in the afternoon that makes me really wish siestas were a part of our culture.  Final note: we are out of andouille and chorizo.  As always, our pre-order form is the best way to see what we have and get what you want!  Find it here:  https://form.jotform.com/231266729632056 or you can always call/text 231 288 6112 or email thepasturage@gmail.com
