Earthscape Farm of Hesperia
~Greetings Sweetwater Friends! Our Grandson Tyler will plan to come on October 26th.
APPLES! From our Northern Spy tree in the front yard! They look good and plentiful this year. Bill baked some on Sunday with butter, brown sugar and raisins.
VEGETABLES! We may have a few sweet peppers, Hot Hungarian wax peppers, onions, Savoy andgreen cabbage, Delicata and Acorn winter squashes, kohlrabis, celeriac. These Kohlrabi are Winter storage variety – peel them, slice them andeat them raw, grate for a salad, or cube and roast them. I added cubed kohlrabi to a roast chicken along with onions, carrots and celery yesterday. YUM!
Savoy cabbage makes the best Cole slaw!

The Pasturage
What a glorious fall! We’ve been grateful for the warmer weather as we finish our turkeys and chickens on pasture. We’ve had some ice on the waterers in the morning, but so far, no hoses have burst or connections leaked. A reminder: we will have turkeys for Thanksgiving! If you’d like a particular size, pre-order today! If it doesn’t really matter, then you can swing by the market stand anytime starting Nov. 2 and pick up a turkey fory our feast. We’ll also have turkey cuts back in stock along with chicken, both whole and cut up. See our pre-order form for all the details! http://thepasturage.com/order
Take care,
Julie
Crow’s Nest is back with GARLIC!
Every year we are so happy to participate in the market from the vendors side of the booth and provide high quality, long lasting garlic for your table.
