Ed. note about Honeycrisp apples: I incorrectly identified them as certified organic. While they are certainly organically grown they are not yet certified. The Jensens are working with OEFFA as their certifier. They have gone to the expense of doing the required testing and are keeping all of the records required. Their contact at OEFFA told them for this first year it wasn’t worth the expense to pay to get the certification until they had more volume. They shared their tests & results with Sweetwater.

Black Storage Radishes $3 per quart These radishes are a great one for storage and can be stored up to a month or longer. These radishes are larger than the radishes that most people are used to. They are snow white in the center and have a peppery taste that is mellowed when cooked. They are great with a nice full body beer, in a veggie platter or salad. Try radishes cooked in the same way you would cook potatoes…they are great roasted, fried, or mashed.
Honeynut Squash $1 each This variety of butternut squash is sweeter and smaller running 1/2 to 1 1/2 lbs each.
Tuffy acorn squash $1 each This variety of acorn squash is smaller running 1/2 to 1 1/2 lbs each.
Whole Chicken $4.50 per lb. 5 – 6 lbs Our poultry and rabbits are always young and fed 100% CNG or organic feed. USDA Inspected
Young Guinea Fowl $8 per lb 2.5 – 3 lbs Guinea Fowl is all dark meat, very tender, and very similar to pheasant without a gamey taste. Try guinea fowl roasted with a red current gravy or batter fried like chicken. Our poultry and rabbits are always young and fed 100% CNG or organic fed. USDA Inspected
Green beans $3 per quart or $5 for 1/2 peck. We have a very limited quantity left. I These beans were picked on October 5th and have been stored in our walk-in cooler since they were picked. These green beans will be the last ones for this season.
All items sold are Certified Naturally Grown and all poultry is frozen and processed by a USDA facility.
Try roasted fall vegetables using Radishes, carrots, potatoes, turnips, onion and/or Jerusalem Artichokes served with roasted chicken or guinea fowl.
