Vendors Attending Saturday November 19th:
Blackbird Farm of Coopersville

Winter has hit us hard this week, but we saw it coming and have been spending the past couple of weeks harvesting all we could in preparation. Which makes this Saturday a great day for you to defy the cold wind and snow and stock up on all manner of good things to eat for your Thanksgiving feast and beyond!
This Saturday at market we will be bringing:
FIRE CIDER KITS: Fire cider is an easily made tonic that is said to boost one’s immune system. Ingredients such as garlic, ginger, turmeric, hot peppers, and horseradish are steeped in apple cider vinegar and then sweetened with honey. We have assembled kits, plus instructions, that will include all you will need to make your own, with all ingredients grown here at Blackbird Farms.
SPINACH, ARUGULA, AND BABY KALE: Tender baby greens fresh from our hoophouse. And there’s no spinach like fall spinach–don’t miss out!
BABY BEET, CARROT, AND POTATO ROASTING MIX: Little nuggets of deliciousness specially selected and ready for your roasting pan.
We will also be bringing:
Head lettuce
Kale
Bok choi
Tatsoi
Baby kohlrabi
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Brussels sprouts
Full-size cabbages
Potatoes
Beets
Carrots
Turnips
Celeriac
Leeks
Onions, red and yellow storage
Garlic
Winter Squash, multiple varieties
Also be sure to ask Forrest about the various provisions he will have with him.
In addition, know that you are welcome to our on-farm holiday market this Saturday (November 19) from 1-5 p.m. We will have all our vegetables, plus other edible goods from our farmer friends, as well as artisan goods like pottery, textiles, notebooks, and more. Our address is 5213 Roosevelt, Coopersville, 409404. Hope to see you there!

The Pasturage of Montague
Hi all! I missed market last weekend due to a head cold so I apologize if you were looking and didn’t find me. I am on the mend and will be at Sweetwater this weekend with apples and meat. We have new lamb cuts available: neck roast, bone-in shoulder roast, boneless loin and tenderloin, and bulk sausage for your stuffing in both hot and sweet Italian; plus mild breakfast links are back! All of our lamb sausages are made with our 100% Certified Grassfed lamb, which means you get tremendous flavor with good fat! Numerous blind taste tests have confirmed that people do not know which of our sausages are lamb and which are pork. Try it for yourself!
For both apples & meats feel free to pre-order; walk-ups welcome. Bring your own containers, please.
Prices for apples are as follows:
Under 24# is $3.25/#
Over 24# is $3.00/#
Keep in mind 24# is about a half bushel, which nearly fills a paper grocery bag.
As for our pastured meats, it’s not too early to begin considering holiday roasts. Product price list here:
