Meadow View Goat Dairy of Fremont
Chevreʹ Fresh chevre with a nice spreading consistency, perfect for sandwich toppings and cooking. Cherry Capital Foods of Traverse City says ” The chèvre produced by Meadow View has a pitch perfect acidity on the palate that becomes gently sweet and milky with a grassy note on the finish.”
Seasoned Chevreʹ
Our fresh Chevre available in your favorite flavorings: Blueberry Vanilla (great on a morning bagel!) Hickory-smoked bacon Bits, Garlic, Italian Herb, & Hot Pepper
Feta
A smooth and creamy feta which is low in salt and rich in fresh goat milk flavor. The brining process gives feta cheese a salty, tangy flavor and a crumbly consistency. Feta cheese can be served as a table cheese, used in baking savory dishes, or served as an appetizer or in salads. The classic Greek salad is made with Feta cheese. In crumbles or cubes for easy slicing.
Tomme de Fremont
Our first aged cheese is quickly becoming a customer favorite! Developed from a French recipe, Tomme is a lower fat mold ripened cheese, aged at least 60 days. This gives the cheese a stronger flavor & firmer texture than the fresh Chevres, perfect for slicing.
Dutch Kase
A Meadow View Dairy original! If you are looking for a nicely aged but milder version of our Tomme, this is the cheese for you. Vacuum sealed without mold and aged at least 60 days.
Marco Similar to Dutch Kase but pasteurized and vacuum sealed, it comes in Pepper, Sage, Italian & Garlic.
Other items from our farm:
We’ll also have eggs from our free-range, GMO-free flock.

The Roaring Mouse Coffee Roasters of Hart
This cooler weather is perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee, tea or Hot Chocolate! Any way you like it, we have you covered! Every week we have 4-6 varieties of freshly roasted coffee, and 5+ varieties of loose leaf tea. This week we are adding Hot Chocolate to the lineup! Come check out our new shipment of Chocolate! We restocked everyone’s favorites, and got a few new ones to try. Our new roaster is installed in the new facility, and we are working on the licensing, so be watching for some exciting new developments over the next few weeks!
We will not be at market on Nov 8, so stock up this weekend!
Check our facebook page for details on our coffee of the week.
We will also plan to bring our Guatemala FTO, Papua New Guinea FTO, Colombia FTO, and a Decaf.
As always, we sell our coffee by the ounce so you can get the perfect amount to use while it is the freshest. We also have gift certificates; the perfect gift for a coffee lover!
Come taste the fresh difference! Coffee is seasonal, so expect some variety. We try not to roast too much extra in order to keep the coffee fresh every week.
Our list of Teas and Chocolates has gotten too long to include here, so check out our Facebook page for the full list of what we have available.
Email us to order in advance, and we will have it bagged up and ready for you. Advance orders will ensure that we don’t run out of your favorite coffee before you get there, and speed up your shopping if you are in a hurry!
Blackbird Farm of Coopersville
As temperatures drop, fall crops become sweeter, creating their own sort of antifreeze. The first frost is also my signal to begin the process of winding things down on the farm and preparing everything for the coming winter.

tatsoi
komatsuna

mini cabbages

Shady Side Farm of Holland
We’ve wrapped up bean harvest (except for the last variety, which looks like it would probably finish if we had 3 more months of hot weather–oh well!). We’ve also wrapped up our corn harvest, which is the last of the harvesting. So we think now about finishing up tasks that need to be done before winter–getting the barn ready for the sheep, putting away equipment, etc. And since it is getting dark earlier and earlier, we are starting to make socks and rugs and mittens and scarves again in the evenings.
We will be at the market this Saturday with 16 varieties of certified organic dry beans, all grown by us on our farm south of Grand Haven. We encourage you to try some beans if you haven’t had some in a while. They are so delicious and nutritious and are not that hard to work with. I am happy to talk you through the process, with tips and tricks I’ve learned of by talking with others and experimenting on my own.
One of the beans that we have not had in stock for a couple of years is the Green Flageolet. Green Flageolet Beans were introduced at the International Paris Exposition in 1878. These thin, mint green beans have a creamy, firm texture and a sweet mellow flavor. A quick-cooking bean, they don’t need to be soaked and become increasingly creamy the longer you cooks them. Flageolets are a great companion to fish or lamb. I like to serve them with butter, salt and dill.
In addition to our beans, I will have raw, aged cheese from Grassfields Farm in Coopersville. Grassfields Farm is an organic dairy farm, and they make aged cheeses from their non-pasturized, non-homogenized organic cow’s milk. I will have several different varieties along Saturday, including both the Aged Edam and the regular Edam (just back in stock after a couple of months).
Hope to see you Saturday!
