Shady Side Farm of Holland

As I’m typing this up, Mike is out in the fields with the tractor and disc. We have new lambs and new calves on the farm, and it won’t be long until we are planting corn and beans. Here’s what I’m bringing to market on Saturday:
· Certified organic heirloom dry beans. 15 different varieties! We recently dropped our price on Black Turtle and Pinto beans slightly, so if you like these beans, stop by! Also, it’s always more cost-effective in the long run to buy bigger bags of beans. Please email me ahead of time if you need bulk amounts (2# or 5# or more) of anything.
· Get it now! Whole wheat pastry flour ground from certified organic soft red winter wheat grown by Earthkeepers Farm. Pastry flour is best for muffins, pancakes, quick breads, and more. Not suitable for baking yeast breads with. This is the last week we will have the flour along, so if you’ve enjoyed this, stock up! Freezes well.
· Corn meal and grits/polenta. Check with me on this—depending on our miller’s schedule, we may or may not have some along!
· Wool dryer balls. The dryer ball maker (me) has finally made a new batch and I will have them along with me. Great for gifts, or maybe you need to replace your own dryer balls that have gone missing.
